Meet Dr. Basson

He began his dental career after earning his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in India. After moving to the United States, he continued his education and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in California, gaining additional insight into patient care, practice management, and the business of healthcare.

Dr. Basson was later accepted into the Advanced Standing Program for International Dentists (ASPID) at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2014.

Since graduating, Dr. Basson has practiced dentistry in California, providing comprehensive care with a strong focus on restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, clear aligner therapy, and modern digital dental technology.

At Smile Now Dental Studio in Pasadena, Dr. Basson believes that excellent dentistry begins with understanding the individual patient. His approach combines careful diagnosis, modern technology, conservative treatment planning, and clear communication so patients can make informed decisions about their oral health.

He continues to incorporate advances in digital dentistry, intraoral scanning, clear aligner treatment, implant dentistry, and cosmetic techniques into everyday patient care.

Beyond clinical dentistry, Dr. Basson is passionate about dental education and helping internationally trained dentists better understand the path toward practicing dentistry in the United States.
